Yaskomo (medicine man) performs daily astral flights to distant caves to quiz cosmological specters on healing advice (who to bet on at the races if truth be told). Besides healing and his dubious gambling advice, he has also been assigned the task of naming newborn babies for the townsfolk, a task which causes him much upset. Yaskomo’s assistant “Moon” (think Moon Unit Zappa, Keith Moon or Moon Moon Sen… that sort of thing) often stands in on this naming malarkey, whilst Yaskomo stays in his flat and gets trolleyed.
